Gabriela is a 12 year old girl who has grown up at the Hogar. She arrived in 2016, when she was only one year and six months old, under protective measures due to circumstances of neglect and lack of adequate care in her family environment. Sadly, her mother passed away, and Gabriela and her sister have spent many important years of their lives at the Hogar.

From a young age, Gabriela has been known for her cheerful and outgoing personality. She enjoys interacting with the people around her and has a way of bringing joy to those who share time with her. Gabriela has an intellectual disability, and throughout her time at the Hogar, she has received the care and support necessary for her individual needs.

In 2024, Gabriela began experiencing episodes of epilepsy. Since then, she has required ongoing medical treatment and takes several medications to help reduce the frequency of these episodes. Her well-being continues to be carefully supported by the people who care for her.

One of the most special parts of Gabriela's story is the close relationship she shares with her sister, Beatriz. The two have grown up together and have always been there for one another. Their bond has remained strong throughout the years, and they continue to care for and support each other as they grow.
